Alhambra Modern Dentistry has been well worth my drive from a few cities away. With its state of the art equipment and top notch practitioners, it has been a godsend. It is obvious to me that Dr. Self takes pride in her art, making the extra effort to give complete dental care while also running an honest business with a friendly, ethical staff. Another draw for me was endodontist Dr. Lin, who performed my root canal at another location. Knowing I was in need of this procedure, I had looked up his credentials before deciding on an insurance plan. It is reassuring to know that he spends even more time at the Alhambra location. Having switched from a PPO to an HMO dental plan when my dentist retired, I’ve experienced more than one hardsell dental organization which, while listed as providers on my dental plan did not honor the copay listed in my insurer’s handbook, charging up to three times the out-of-pocket amount while also forcefully pushing procedures, upgrades and products that were not absolutely necessary. I’m so glad my search for excellence and honesty is over and has taken me to Alhambra Modern Dentistry.

Dr.Self really cares for her patients and hears them out to ensure they are happy with the service they are getting. She's really down to earth and great to talk to and see.
